The Yard o Led Mayflower Mechanical Pencil is made from Sterling Silver in Yard o Led’s workshops in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham.

The delicately hand chased pattern shows an English Rose, the stalk, with buds and leaves curling along the side of the barrel.

A classic English design, the Mayflower Rose may have grown in local gardens before the Jewellery Quarter was established in Birmingham in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The current Yard o Led factory is in Regent Place, the site of a house built by Matthew Boulton and leased to James Watt, of steam engine fame.

Today, the Mayflower mechanical Pencil offers supreme writing pleasure. Lovers of pencils will be familiar with the feeling of lead on paper, and the Yard-O-Led’s generous 1.1mm lead is sensational.
