Write Here Scribo Africa Fountain Pen

The Write Here SCRIBO Africa is the sixth pen in this series.  .The material is translucent  with flecks of black, gold and brown. Made by Scrittura Bolognese, the team which arose from the ashes of OMAS, this new pen retains the ideal proportions and balance that have made this pen so popular. Designed by Flaminia Angelone back in 2017 the design is simple and uncluttered.  There is a slight taper to both cap and barrel.  A long section gives plenty of space to accommodate your favoured grip and gives perfect balance.

But it is the nib that gives life to the pen.  Made in the Bock factory, but on the OMAS machine – which has been with BOCK for many years – to exactly the same specification as the OMAS OM81.  The nibs’ performance lives up to their heritage: the 18ct nib is a joy to use – soft, smooth and responsive.  The 14ct flex nib is widely regarded as the best modern flex nib; again, it is smooth and responsive, giving effortless line variation with the gentlest of pressure..

The nibs are 14ct Extra Flexible – EF, F, M and B and the 18ct the same, with a 1.1 Stub and Triple Broad available.

Why Africa?  As soon as we saw the resin the colour and distribution of the flecks made us think of Leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and the savannah.
