This limited edition notebook is called Edith, inspired by Edith Pargeter author of the Cadfael novels, which were set in Shrewsbury Abbey not even 0.5 miles away from our Write Here shop on the High Street.

The brass spiral binding ties in perfectly with the cream and mustard while making it an easy open, lying flat perfectly.

Review of the WriteHere Notorie Notebook Africa Edition

As an avid fountain pen user, finding a notebook that can handle the ink flow and prevent bleeding or feathering is key. The WriteHere Africa Notorie Notebook has not only met my expectations but have surpassed them, I got the notebook when I purchased my Scribo Africa from WriteHere but had not used it thinking it would not match up to my usual collection of notebooks.  Finally last week having had some spare time I decided to do the usual back page ink and nib test, testing a range of nibs from F to 1.1 with shading, sheening and shimmering inks. The first thing that I noticed about Notorie Notebook was that the pages are smooth, yet with enough tooth to enhance the writing experience and provide just the right amount of feedback.  The paper held up well to all the inks and nib combinations I threw at it giving a crisp line with no bleed through or ghosting. The attention to detail in the construction of the notebook is evident with a striking front and back cover.  Simple yet sophisticated design making it ideal for professional or personal use.

This will not be my last Notorie Notebook and I hope John will consider one as a companion for future WriteHere Scribo releases.
