With Ancient origins deep underground, pure and untouched for centuries, safeguarded by the rock of Volterra and transformed into beauty by the ancient Etruscans. This salt is exceptionally dry and pure, drawing warmth from the Tuscan mountains that surround it.

This is the inspiration behind the Scribo Sale Di Volterra. A pen that seeks to capture the same warmth and purity as the salt that the ancient Etruscans valued so much, using it for trade, art, and ritual. Seeking to capture the same elements of purity, art, and ritual that go into writing. Crafted with a Semi-transparent brick red, and ochre resins and finished with a golden trim that echoes the warm earthy tones of the Tuscan landscape. The texture and shape of the resin is an homage to the many shapes of the individual crystals of salt, creating a writing experience that captures the same raw – vivid texture as the salt crystals it emulates.
