The Sailor Shikiori Tsukuyono Minamo Fountain Pen is, frankly, gorgeous.

Part of the Procolour range the Shikiori translates as “Four Seasons”, and the four colours reflect those of nature.  The names of the colours resonate with nature:  The Navy Blue is Yonaga – Long night.  The Pink Yozakura – Cherry Blossoms at Night: the Teal Shimoyo – Frosty Night: the Maroon is Night Fire.  The translucent resins contain tiny flecks of metal, enhancing the appearance of an already striking pen.

The appointments are gold plated, and the Sailor Shikiori Fountain features a Fine steel nib, also gold plated.  It is smooth, whilst giving satisfying feedback.  It is a Japanese fine – between EF and F.
