The Sailor 1911 – or Profit – Fude de Mannen calligraphy pen offers enormous line variation with its unique nib. It is a proper fountain pen, able to use the standard Sailor converter as well as cartridges. Much appreciated by those who like to draw in ink as well as calligraphers.  The nib’s tip bends upwards at an angle of 55 degrees.  It is supplied with 3 black cartridges.

And yes, we know it looks as if it’s been dropped on its nib. But you’ll find that using the back of the nib gives a very fine line, turning it over and holding it upright gives a broader line, which gets broader as you gradually reduce the angle to the page. And if you’d like a really broad line, just draw it horizontally across the page. If you really want to spoil yourself, go for the 1911 with the 21 carat gold Fude nib!
