Pilot Custom 743 Fountain Pen

The Pilot Custom 743 is a sleek, cigar-shaped fountain pen made by Pilot.  It is the classier version of the 742, although at first sight looks it looks similar, but having slightly larger gold cap and barrel bands.  However, as soon as the cap comes off, the difference is obvious:  it features the larger size  No. 15 nib, giving greater character to the writing experience and justifying the premium price.

The pen is made of black resin, has pronounced gold appointments and a classic ball – end clip; no clothing will be damaged by this clip!.  It  takes either Pilot brand cartridges or the Pilot  Con 70 converter.

A very fine pen in its own right, the 743 is all about the magnificent range of #15 14ct gold nibs available – 14 in all.  they are:

Extra Fine, Fine, Soft Fine, Fine Medium. Soft Fine Medium, Medium, Soft Medium, Broad, Double Broad, Posting, FA, Waverley, Stub and Coarse.
