Opus 88 Omar Fruit
Opus 88 Omar Fruit
Another OMAR from Opus 88. Why so many? Well, it’s an attractive pen in all sorts of ways.
The Opus 88 Omar Fruit is a big pen, but beautifully balanced. It holds gallons of ink – well, not quite, but in pen terms over 2ml is a lot. It’s an Japanese style inkdropper, so hold the ink safely. You can take it out with you without the risk of it embarrassing you. Build quality is excellent – Opus 88 are precision engineers.
Maybe the best thing about the Omar series is the sense of humour behind the names: who on earth would call a series of pen colours Apple (mostly red) , Orange (mostly green with a bit of orange) – OK. Latte (mostly orange with a brown section and cap finial)- sort of . Lipstick (purple)? Whoa! Should we call it the mouth series as they’re mostly edible, drinkable, or smear-able round the mouth – when I try it, anyway! I love it!
Whichever Omar Fruit / lipstick / latte you go for, you can expect a distinctive pen. But I must remind you that pens are inedible.
Shame, really. They look nice enough to eat!
