Onoto William Shakespeare Sterling Silver Fountain Pen

The Onoto William Shakespeare Sterling Silver Fountain Pen is a luxury, very limited-edition tribute to the Bard of Avon, made by Onoto’s craftsmen and -women from hallmarked sterling silver with gold and rose-gold plated features.

The Onoto William Shakespeare Sterling Silver Fountain Pen has a distinctive and striking barrel made of sterling silver. The cap has 23 carat gold appointments, with the clip featuring the Onoto cipher and chevrons that are a famous feature of their pens. The top of the cap features a portrait of Shakespeare himself, and the gold cap band bears a facsimile of his signature.

The barrel and cap are engine turned in an elegant pattern, leaving a plain panel on the barrel for the trade-mark engraving of “ONOTO the PEN” and “Made in England“.

As with all the luxury fountain pens in their range, the Onoto William Shakespeare Sterling Silver Fountain Pen is fitted with the Onoto number 7 nib (which is 8.4mm at the widest), in this case in 18-carat gold as standard. The nib is available in Fine, Medium and Broad, but for an additional fee, Onoto will fit the pen with a hand-ground nib to almost any possible profile you wish. The Onoto William Shakespeare Sterling Silver Fountain Pen is a well balanced and solid to hold, as it weighs (empty) almost 100 grams. Unlike with their acrylic resin pens, Onoto do not offer the option to make this pen heavier!

This pen can also be supplied with a rollerball conversion kit in solid silver. This is in addition to the fountain pen nib, allowing to change your pen to a rollerball simply by unscrewing one tip from the barrel (as you would to replace the cartridge) and screwing in the other.
