Onoto William Shakespeare Pinstripe Fountain Pen

The Onoto William Shakespeare Pinstripe Fountain Pen is one of the range of luxury pens produced as a tribute to the Bard of Avon, made by Onoto’s craftsmen and -women from an extremely durable acrylic resin.

The Onoto William Shakespeare Pinstripe Fountain Pen has a distinctive and striking cap and barrel made of black resin featuring four stripes of gold and brilliant yellow pearlescent resin, each bordered by fine pale grey pearlescent pinstripes. When closed, the black and coloured stripes on the cap and barrel of the pen align neatly.

The trim of the Onoto William Shakespeare Pinstripe Fountain Pen is of sterling silver, plated in gold. The cap includes the clip featuring the Onoto cipher and chevrons that are a famous feature of their pens. The button at the top of the cap features a portrait of Shakespeare himself, and the triple cap bands bear the sterling silver hallmark. The finial button at the end of the barrel is of gold-plated sterling silver.

The barrel has the trade-mark engraving of “ONOTO the PEN” and “Made in England“.

As with all the luxury fountain pens in their range, the Onoto William Shakespeare Pinstripe Fountain Pen is fitted with the Onoto number 7 nib (which is 8.4mm at the widest), in either stainless steel, bi-colour plated with gold, or with a number 7 18-carat gold nib. Both nibs are available in Fine, Medium and Broad, but for an additional fee, Onoto will fit the pen with a hand-ground nib to almost any possible profile you wish. The Onoto William Shakespeare Pinstripe Fountain Pen is a well balanced pen to hold. Normally, it weighs (empty) 27 grams, but this can be increased to 34 grams if you require.

This pen can also be supplied with a rollerball conversion kit in acrylic resin and silver. This is in addition to the fountain pen nib, allowing to change your pen to a rollerball simply by unscrewing one tip from the barrel (as you would to replace the cartridge) and screwing in the other. NOTE that this option is not compatible with the extra weight option, so please do not choose both in the options list.
