Onoto Excel Sterling Silver Pen

The Onoto Excel Sterling Silver Pen is a lighter and slimmer version of Onoto’s classic sterling silver Magna. The silver barrel of the Excel is engine turned into a beautifully stylish barleycorn pattern that helps with the grip and prevents discolouration of the silver. The smooth end hood carries the sterling silver hallmarks, and the end of the barrel is stamped with the limited-edition number. As with all of their pens, the Onoto Excel Sterling Silver Pen carries the words “ONOTO the PEN” and “Made in England” on a plain panel on its barrel.

The cap of the Onoto Excel Sterling Silver Pen has the characteristic Onoto clip, plated with 23-carat gold, bearing their cipher and the distinctive triple-chevron pattern that has been Onoto’s since the 1930s.

The nib fitted to the Onoto Excel Sterling Silver Pen is the slightly smaller number 3 in 18 carat gold, in Fine, Medium, or Broad, but if you choose “Modified Nib“, then Onoto will hand-make a nib to your specifications. This pen can also be supplied with a rollerball conversion kit in sterling silver. This is in addition to the fountain pen nib, allowing to change your pen to a rollerball simply by unscrewing one tip from the barrel (as you would to replace the cartridge) and screwing in the other.
