Leonardo Momento Magico Pithecusa Fountain Pen
The Leonardo Momento Magico Pithecusa is a piston filling mid-sized fountain pen with ink window and a choice of nibs. It is made of resin.
Pithecusa is the original Greek name for Ischia, a volcanic island in the bay of Naples. It is believed to be the oldest Greek settlement in Italy, dating back to the 9th century BCE. The name means Island of the Apes – as far as I know, there is no record of apes having lived there, but they may have left as the Greeks arrived.
One of the things that attracted the Greeks was the thermal springs on the Island, which were reputed to have health giving properties. They remain to this day, and were of benefit to Giuseppe Garibaldi whilst recovering for injuries sustained in the fighting which led to the unification of Italy.
The Leonardo Momento Magico Pithecusa will doubtless bring a healthy glow of pleasure to all users – it is a well made pen with a superb Jowo nib in a beautiful resin. Enjoy!
