Lamy 2000 Fountain Pen Limited Edition 2024 – Pine

If one was to design a “modern” fountain pen to day there is a good chance you would come up with something very like the Lamy 2000 – but I doubt it would bear comparison with the original.  The Lamy 2000, designed by Gerd Muller in 1966, is a timeless classic.

It is a piston filler made of Makrolon, a polycarbonate material, with a platinum coated 14ct gold nib and brushed steel section.  It is a truncated cigar shape, the flow of the barrel following on into the section and hooded nib.

This Lamy 2000 Pine limited edition of 5058, celebrating 58 years since it’s launch, has a fine nib.  The package includes a hardcover, linen bound 160 page notebook in 120 gsm paper by Munken and a book about Gerd Muller, the designer.
